John Webley, CEO

With his two co-founders, John grew Advanced Fibre to 300 people and a market capitalization of $6 billion in 1999. John left to found Turin Networks, an optical networking company. Six years later, when he retired as CEO, Turin was a $50 million business with 250+ employees. After retiring from Turin, he has been involved in a board capacity with numerous startups, including Red Condor, Clovis, SecureTrack, MyJambi and recently Innovative Labs after serving as CEO of PAX Streamline. John’s telecommunications background extends over 25 years with 2 of the top selling telecom products globally. John received a B.S.E.E. and a M.S.E.E. from the University of Stellenbosch.

Tom Ma, COO

Tom Ma joined Newbridge as one of its earliest employees, leading the development of the sales dept. for Asia Pac. Newbridge Networks was acquired by Lucent-Alcatel for $8b at its peak. Tom joined Pairgain Technologies and was instrumental in again developing the sales channel in Asia and helping the company grow to be the leader in DSL technology globally. After Pairgain Tom joined Turin Networks where he lead the Sales in Asia once more during one of the toughest environments for telecomm from 2002-2004. He formed MPX Capital to invest in Telecomm start-ups and MPX technologies, a systems integrator for fixed-mobile convergence products. He has been leading the Innovative Labs clean technology program in Asia and has presented the technologies to a variety of customers to date.

Victor Ivashin, VP Engineering

Victor came to California in 1975 to start a number of business ventures having left National Cash Register as an engineer in Sparks, Nevada. Victor founded and grew his garage based business from $0 to $30 million (Renaissance) developing inventions into products. He has a large patent base. Later Victor became internationally involved with Russia satellite deployment and engineering through the Ministry of Communications in Moscow, Victor eventually came to join Advanced Fibre as the Radio Engineering Director. After 6 years at AFC he joined with John Webley within Innovative Labs LLC. Victor received a B.S.E.E and M.S.E.E from the University of Nevada and a Ph.D. E.E. from Poznan Polytechnic University.

Karen Godfrey, CFO

Karen L. Godfrey has been self-employed as a Financial Management Advisor and Acting Chief Financial Officer for several start-up companies in the green energy, telecommunications and software industries since 2004. From 2000 to 2004, Ms. Godfrey was Chief Financial Officer for Turin Networks. Karen Godfrey was with Advanced Fibre Communications (AFC) from 1993 to 2000 first as their Vice President and Corporate Controller and then Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and was with the Company from its start-up phase, through its IPO, and its growth to over 800 employees. Prior to joining AFC, she served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Operations of Paracomp, Inc., a software company, and as Vice President and Corporate Controller of WordStar International Corporation, the developer of the first word processing software product. Ms. Godfrey started her professional career with KPMG Peat Marwick in Chicago. Karen obtained a degree in accounting from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana
